Lombardi—Kargl is dedicated to contemporary art. Formerly known as Georg Kargl Fine Arts, it has been an integral part of the contemporary art landscape since its founding in 1998 by Georg Kargl.

Since 2018, the gallery has been under the direction of Inés Lombardi, who has continued its critical engagement with contemporary social, cultural, and environmental issues. 

Lombardi—Kargl focuses on conceptually grounded and feminist approaches and seeks to engage audiences with the art and ideas presented, ensuring a vital space for meaningful conversation, reflection, and discourse.
