Floating Self

This exhibition examines notions of subjectivity and selfhood as generated in various mediated forms today. Each of the three artists takes critical, often provocative positions regarding these notions. Rabih Mroué explores legacies of war and their impact upon the body, psyche, and imagination. Amalia Ulman develops online personalities through social media as an ongoing performance. Rosa Rendl stages images of selfhood with a knowing nod towards fashion photography and consumerism.
